Well, the “fake ass” originally referred to a padding that women wore under their dresses to increase the apparent volume of their butt.
Since the usage of such trick can be qualified as misleading and hypocritical, we ended up using it more globally to refer to a hypocritical person. (No matter if this person’s butt is real or not…)
Use it simply the same way you would use the word “Hypocrite“. But beware that it’s familiar and can be perceived as aggressive depending on the context.
